For years I have been consumed with memory keeping. I am an avid scrapbooker, and there's really nothing I enjoy more (nothing I can talk about on HERE anyway....). Several years ago I became determined to make my photographs as good as those I saw on the pages of Creating Keepsakes magazine. The in thing was to run out and buy a Canon Rebel camera- so of course- I did. Yes, I saw an immediate difference in my pictures. In fact, I was quite content with the pictures I was taking, until I started really looking at what potential was out there for taking amazing pictures. My mother (whom I also consider my closest friend) purchased a Nikon. After piddling with her camera, I immediately noticed the difference.
So, months later, more equipment than I can shake a stick at, and given my drive- it was only natural that I open this little photography business. I couldn't be happier. Here we go.... this is going to be a long and amazing road. I hope you'll join me in my quest and venture. Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing.
The first post I want to share is from a shoot I did last Thursday. In the hot Texas heat, we had to get out uber-early to get these shots in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The subject was my darling niece, Elizabeth, and her father, Eddie.
Of course, it doesn't hurt that Elizabeth is drop dead gorgeous! I'm looking forward to my next shoot... I just love the stockyards!
More soon.... Amanda
