Isn't She Lovely...

Newborns are easily one of my favorite things. There's nothing like holding a squishy new baby, and sniffing that aroma of- well, whatever that "new baby smell" is. Those little grunts, squeaks and scrunched up faces. I just love love love them. Here's a highlight from one of my favorite newborn sessions of 2010. This little gal's name is Parker, and I'm just smitten with her.

It's All About Soul

When I got into photography, my hope was that I would be able to capture magazine-like photos of my own children. I had no idea how difficult that would be. My own children just don't respond well to my taking photos of them. Especially my pre-teen, Nicholas. He truly hates having his picture made. Thanks to the good graces of the Gods above, that all changed this Christmas. His Granddaddy sent him a ruby red Epiphone electric guitar for Christmas. Nicholas has been wanting to play for years. I thought he was old enough and mature enough now to stick with it, so the red "ax" arrived in a humungo UPS box just before the big day. Needless to say, it warranted it's own photo shoot. This time, Nicholas didn't mind so much.
