One BIG, Happy Family

I love the holidays. Everything about them. The food, the lights, the decorations, the family time.... especially the family time. Yesterday I had the chance to capture the Kakos family. Some were here from Chicago... others were local. At any rate, there were a LOT of them, and you could tell they were so glad to be spending the holidays together.
 Happy Thanksgiving Kakos Family!!

Russian Tea

I've had several people ask for this recipe, so I thought this was the best place to post. This is my Grandmothers recipe for Russian Tea. We are not Russian, and no, I'm not sure that Russian people drink this, but that's what it's called. And it's amazing. Give it a try. I'm buying ingredients tonight. We always have this around the holidays.

Russian Tea

 1/2 Gallon unsweetened tea (week)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 cups OJ
1 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
1 1/2 Tbsp whole cloves

Mix everything together over medium heat. Simmer until you can smell the cloves. Strain cloves and drink warm. Lovely in crock pot all day.

There it is... enjoy. :)

Jane & Harrison Got Married

Just a few short weeks ago I got a panicked call from a lovely bride. Through unfortunate circumstances, she had lost her wedding photographer. It was just meant to be, as her wedding date was my ONLY open November date. Everything about Jane and Harrison was amazing and breathtaking. I truly enjoyed every moment of their celebration, and can't wait to share more memories with them. Congratulations Jane and Harrison!! Special thanks to my assistant, Matt Walls, my second shooter, Ashley Mauldin, and guest photographer, Destiny Darcy, for all the help. It was such a huge event, I could NOT have done it without you guys.
